Actually, Keanu did pretty damned good in THE GIFT where he actually managed to seem like a total asshole. When he gets pissed in the courtroom is where he makes the turn.

There's an alternate opening sequences in the deleted scenes of the new edition of "Bram Stoker's Dracula" where his English accent is so bad it's impossible not to laugh your ass off. I enjoy most of all of Reev'es movies because he (almost) always picks great films to be in, but the fact that he is famous as a professional actor boggles my mind.
