 There will be no more snapping of Slim Jims. Another entertainment legend died yesterday, so let's take our hats off to one of pro wrestling's all-time greats. I haven't watched WWE since it was WWF, but there are still a handful of old-time wrestlers I have a lot of love for and this guy was one of them. His one-of-a-kind persona will continue to be source of smiles and ridiculous impersonations for as long as people watch sports entertainment and use the word "kayfabe". OOOOHHHH YEEEEEEEAAAAAHH! DIG IT!!!!!! |

Man, I remember that tag team match that broke up the Hogan and Savage team. I was heartbroken. Those two were insane together. Nice tribute vid.

Never watched him but I shed a wee tear at the video. WWE do them so well. This one affected me and 2 years later the death of Chris Benoit. Although Benoit apparently killed his family. No excuses for murder in my world, but I do think it's tragic that some people are driven to do such insane things out of grief or general misery from chemical imbalances and the like. I don't know how I'd feel if one of my heroes slaughtered his family. I think I'm just able to separate the man from the myth, so to speak. Like how Muhammad Ali was manipulated by a racist hate group or Chuck Berry is a pervert. What they represent for me as entertainers or symbols is different from who they really are as flawed human beings.
