So the Playstation Network is finally up and running again after that little "whoops, there go all your details, sorry about that" affair. Now, I very rarely go on the PSN as the PS3 I have has little to no memory as it is without me downloading demo's and shit.
But this WAS a nice surprise. I log in for the first time in months and find that, as ways of apologising for them being hacked into and being down for months - 2 full PS3 downloads for free.
OK, the games themselves aren't exactly brand new, but getting Dead Nation and Infamous for nothing sounds pretty sweet to me.
I've not played Dead Nation yet (just downloaded it today, and the TV is now being taken over by Mrs C and fucking Zelda for the Snes), but Infamous seems almost glorious. It's a bastard to control though (am I doing it wrong, or something? I just get killed all the fucking time).
So, yeah. Credit where its due and all that. As far as apologies go, Sony had me at "2 free games."

They had a lot to apologize for, but 2 free games will cure a lot of boo-boos. Infamous is supposed to be pretty awesome, but I'm not familiar with Dead Nation.

I had never heard of Dead Nation either, but a friend said it would probably be up my street (thankfully - not a FPS). Here's the trailer.. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mia7FRPZIBIYeah, I could kill a few hours on this.

Looks like Smash TV remade by Romero. Cool. Please say it's got multiplayer. That's got to be PSN downlodable and not a full-priced retail game, right?

I dunno. The standard price was £23, so that seems more like a full price game to me. And it's got online as well as multi-player options, so all in all - well worth the price I didn't pay for it, really.
