Well... maybe. www.pottermore.com/Rowling herself presented the website on Youtube, so clearly she's not done with the Harry Potter universe just yet. Why, I'm not sure. Rumours that she discovered some money that she didn't yet own are unfounded. I'm not the biggest HP fan. Yeah I've read the books and.. they're alright. Kinda annoying at times, as are the movies, and do I think they deserve the hype and praise they get? Fuck no. But still, I can't say I'm not a little bit curious by all this. Oh, and no Harry Potter thread, slim as they are (in fact, this may well be the first one) can go without a picture of you know who. And I don't mean fucking Voldermort. Now THAT is magical.

Isn't she the richest woman in Britain already? Christ, people are fucking greedy. Honestly, I'd be giving shit away after such a successful run just to thank the fans. Not looking for excuses to sue them and hold them up for more cash. The last couple of Potter flicks were pretty damn lame. My wife didn't even bother finishing the last one, and she is the Potter fanatic in my household.

I only saw the most recent one last week. They just seem kind of... there to me. Not bad, not great just... meh. I don't know if its just because the books are hard to film or whatever but.. when you consider the obscene amount of money they make the films really have never been much to write home about. Anyway, straight from Wikipedia, here's what the site is all about.. Users will be able to participate in interactive reading experiences or "moments" beginning with the first book Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. After choosing a username, the users will move through the chapters and "follow" Harry. Among other things, users will be able to visit Diagon Alley, be sorted into houses, and learn spells. How this is translated onto the website is still unknown. This type of virtual reading experience has generated concern about the potential reaction of traditional online book retailers such as Amazon.Sounds.. uhh, great, right? I think Cracked pretty much nailed it. www.cracked.com/blog/5-ways-new-harry-potter-thing-will-be-immediately-ruined/
