X-men Origins: Wolverine

It's official, I am reallyreallyREALLY starting to look forward to this. I was lukewarm until I heard Gambit was in the fold. Then I heard Silver Fox was onboard and got a little happier. Early rumors saying that Gambit was to be played by "Lost" superpimp Josh Holloway (Sawyer) have sadly proven false, but the latest bit has me both excited and apprehensive. Oh yeah, there will be Deadpool. ;D If this film gets an "R" rating (it won't), consider me insanely pumped. I just hope to hell that they do not screw this up. The news that Black-Eyed Peas (c)rapper Will.i.am will have role as John Wraith bodes ill, though. I'm so confused! Am I wrong to be excited about my favorite comic book character appearing in a film with Will.i.am in it? Should I be up in arms? How about y'all?

Well, hey, you never know - he might be all right in it. I certainly wouldn't let it put me off. Especially with the news that Gambit and fucking DEADPOOL are involved.

Remember, Fergie was in Planet Terror, and that movie rocked balls. Although the chances of Will.I.Am getting his brain scooped out by zombies in this new Wolverine movie are probably slim.

As much as I love the first two X-Men films, I thought The Last Stand was god-awful. But this new movie appears to have a new director whose work I have yet to see any of (and therefore have no reason to think he would do a bad job with this), and it's written by the guy who wrote 25th Hour. I'll definitely give it a chance. Who knows, it might turn out to be alright!
