"...you have my permission to die." Yeah. It's time. The first full trailer for The Dark Knight Rises. www.craveonline.com/film/articles/179969-the-dark-knight-rises-trailer-I've seen and heard almost nothing but bad since this thing was underway. Don't like Bane's costume, not sure about Catwoman's, bummed that Nolan's apparently looking to close out this most awesome version of Batman, teaser was a dud, and reports of screened footage universally could not understand a fucking thing the main villain was saying. Nolan has yet to make a not good film, but will the conclusion of the most epic superhero trilogy ever be the place where he stumbles? Well, consider much of my fear alleviated by this trailer. I love Selina Kyle's warning to Bruce Wayne, I love the fact that Bane is finally being portrayed as the upper-tier master villain he is in the comics, and not only did I totally understand what he said, but it was fucking badass. Consider the hype back on for me.

I've barely been online in the last couple of days, but I KNEW when I came in here this would be waiting on me.
OK.. I.... argh. I dunno. It's just.. when I saw Ledger's Joker, I was like "YES." I even said, before the film was released, that it would become a pop culture icon (and I was right). This Bane? It's just a guy in a weird mask. The whole point of Bane, at least the Bane in the comic books, was that he was some super jacked on Venom killing machine with a mind to match. Take that dumb thing of his face in this movie and you've got a guy in a 70's brown jacket. Whoop.
Like you said though, Trash - Nolan hasn't disappointed us yet. The trailer looks good (the football match thing looks superb) but.. gnnnnn. I just.. we'll see.

Yeah, I know. I'm braced for disappointment since third films always seem to be the hardest to not fuck up, but this trailer lifted my spirits some. I'm not crazy about Bane's look, but they appear to have FINALLY done the character justice, which is more important than how he looks.
