I only made it to the second one. They've outlawed "pro-gun" advertizing in San Fran? How the hell is that legal? Or how about #45: "guns are fine, but you can't imply they might be used to shoot anybody." What's the damn difference? When is a gun ever included in a film and nobody fires it? #38: "(the movie poster) glorifies knife crime."
Good God.

Yeah, guns on posters right now is a BIG deal; there's always fuss being made over it in case it glamorizes violence or some shit. For example; the Wanted poster over here has only ever been of Angelina Jolie holding the gun against her. James McAvoy (in this poster pointing the gun at the camera) is completely edited out.

I'm guessing that's just a UK (and San Fran) thing, then. I mean, pretty much every TV show and action flick in the U.S. these days could be accused of glamorizing violence. Something to do with your stricter firearms laws, I would assume. Though I fail to see how showing pictures of them somehow encourages people to obtain them, or however the hell THAT thought process goes.
To be honest, I didn't think any of those posters were that outrageous, and only a select few had an obvious "this is offensive" aspect included.

God, that is some stupid shit. I love Frisco as a city and all, but that kind of stuff is just moronic. Also, I think if one racist dipshit taping over Speilberg's name is enough to qualify as "most controversial" maybe they should have rolled back the list a little. Not to mention that half of those are only controversial because of a gun being present, which is redundant. Lesbian Vampire Killers actually had it's title changed to just Vampire Killers in the US. Glad I got the import. The Yogi Bear one is hilarious. I took one look at the poster for Fire and thought: so I don't know how they are "downplaying" the lesbian aspect. I guess it'd have been less controversial (and more awesome) if they'd been making out on the poster. The one for The Outlaw is fucking hot. Some interesting stuff, for sure.
