Thought I'd share with you all my latest DVD Boxset, and it's not something I've been after for a while. Mrs C spotted it when browsing online and it pretty much screamed "buy me or die." Before I tell you what it is, I'll get you in the right frame of mind. First of all, Got that? Now, And, finally, OK, you're now ready to discuss The Russ Meyers Collection. 18 "uplifting" (see what they did there?) movies from the king of trash cinema. 18 movies you just know Tarantino has seen about forty times. "Faster Pussycat, Kill! Kill!, Beyond the Valley of the Dolls, Supervixens, Wild Gals of the Naked West"... you name it, it's in this boxset, along with a book about the man and his movies. It's been many years since I've actually seen any of Meyer's films, so I'm looking forward to watching them again. Any fans of Meyers out there? What film should I watch first?

Faster Pussycat is awesome. Arguably the first grindhouse flick, QT was talking about remaking it. Valley of the Dolls was damn entertaining and was written by Roger Ebert, which is bizarre given his supposed taste in films. I haven't seen the rest, but I would LOVE to see more of these. To Netflix! Killer find, C. Enjoy all of the boobs and violence.
