Anyone who went to the the Dark Knight Rises will have no doubt seen this trailer, but for those of you yet to see it, here it is; www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpvOT6HJCmgI was sitting next to a 6 year old kid (I know, I know, why the fuck were they watching Batman?) who, as soon as the white shirt and red towel were shown, said "Superman!" to his mother. That gives you an idea of the iconic nature of the character. But anyway.. Obviously it's a teaser trailer and doesn't show you much, but as ignorant as this may sound, I really hope they're not going for the "arty" approach when it comes to Superman. Haven't they learned anything from the 2 tonne turd that was Superman Returns?

Superman Returns could have been really good, though, and actually was until they bungled it. Bbad writing killed that one, particularly the idea that Superman needed a kid. Hopefully Snyder gets this one right.
