So it was T in the Park festival time in the UK a few weeks ago, and even though it looked like hell on earth to me (one of the worst weather's on record.. perfect summer festival weather.. it was later labelled "T in the Swamp"), Mrs C and many thousand other people seemed to have a good time. Except those who chose to see Nicki Minaj.
Imagine; you're at a festival where there are 20 different acts and bands on at the same time. You choose to see Minaj. So you stand and wait. And wait. And wait.
She finally arrived, an hour late and MIMED to five songs. And that was it. She was, of course, booed heavily by almost the entire audience. Probably untrue, but every website and newspaper reported she was late because she wouldn't step out of her tent until it was dry and THE GRASS WAS CUT.
Alternative rocker Frank Turner said of the whole debacle; "You can (I suppose) be a dick to your own crew, you're paying them. But everyone else? Not to mention the people out front. Ugh."
So she turns up an HOUR late with no apology and she doesn't even sing live. Jesus Christ, how do people like this make so much fucking money??
