So on this nerd culture site Topless Robot they have this thing called Fan Fiction Friday, which is a weekly does of....well, original stories about existing fictional worlds from the depths of the internet underbelly of fandom. TR is constantly on the lookout for the next chart-topping work of quality fiction to be assimilated into the pop culture mainstream like 50 Shades and whatnot so really they are ahead of the curve. You see, in the future ALL new "original" properties will be originally written as fanfic and then the names will be changed to avoid copyright issues and our modern classics will be born. Normally FFF (as most FF does) tends to focus on disturbingly explicit and vile fetish-filled sexual intercourse. This week however we got to focus on just how lame the writing is (I presume the sex will be next week when the second installment hits) and it actually kind of reminds me of the thought process that goes into a lot of modern fiction, be it Twilight or even the highly regarded Dark Knight Rises, which had so little regard for it's characters or the source material of the stories it was telling but was mindlessly absorbed and praised as a masterpiece in spite of it's myriad gaps in logic and character. So without further adieu, I give you the maybe next big comic book superhero in her debut story complete with analytical commentary from TR's own Rob Bricken. Faces, prepare to meet palms.
