You'll note, of course, the absence of the word "massacre", which has been removed from this sequel. No idea why.

So the basic premise is a bit confused, at least it is coming from different sources I've read. According to Wikipedia it's set soon after the original first movie. Awesome. Why not? But why does the place look like some quaint old folks home, complete with shiny pool table? And, according to IMDB, it's set years after, when the horror house was burned down by angry locals. So why does it still look like it's the 70's? Hmmm.
Anyway, I don't have high hopes for this film at all. The director has made, like, three films in 10 years, the latest features everyone's favourite scum of the earth, Chris fucking Brown. And this TCM movie stars some other flavour of the month R&B drone, Trey Songz.

And the people who made this film don't seem to have watched the first one. Leatherace was never some sadist. He was some hulking, frightened man-child with a weapon, defending his family and his home. He was never the sort to hold the chainsaw menacingly at someone's throat like that. Fair enough if this was a remake or a new take on the story, but this is supposed to be a direct sequel. Bullshit it is.
Man, what IS it with Leatherface? Stars in one good movie and everything else has sucked donkey balls since. Poor guy.
