So this week I am discussing a band called Blood Red Shoes.

They are pop-rock but very good. Think The White Stripes in reverse.

Guy on drums doing all the singing and girl playing guitar.

I have always admired drummers who can not only keep rhythm and pound out a good beat but they can sing too. It looks bloody hard. They are also as good live as they they are here. Good chat too.

Anyway this song is Heartsink. It is awesome and I think you will all like it.

Man, that girl's tone is heavy as shit. Definitely cool minimalist rock. I'm always amazed by anyone who can sing and play an instrument at the same time, as typical as it seems to be. Maybe I'm just handicapped, but it's usually more than I can manage just fretting and picking/strumming, much less managing a bass drum, high hat, snares, toms, and cymbals without fucking up the rhythm. Add singing to that mix along with memorizing the lyrics and I am just sunk.
