Okay, so I've been seeing these personality type threads online where people discuss their personality type based on Jung's Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). As somebody who considers psychology fascinating, this interests me greatly as it is practical, simple, and accurate in categorizing the wide array of people in the world by classifying them using personal preference and values. So here's what I want you to do for me to satisfy my social curiosity Fortress Dwellers: 1. Take this very simple test to roughly determine your 4 letter personality type. www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/jtypes2.asp2. Post test results and the Wikipedia page for your personality type. TLDR quotes summing up your type are encouraged. 3. Do an image search for the four letter personality type and post image gallery of your favorite examples of historical and fictional kindred spirits and demotivational-style images. 4. Discuss. Here's me: Myers-Briggs Type Indicator "Your Type INTJ Introvert(78%) iNtuitive(50%) Thinking(25%) Judging(11%) You have strong preference of Introversion over Extraversion (78%) You have moderate preference of Intuition over Sensing (50%) You have moderate preference of Thinking over Feeling (25%) You have slight preference of Judging over Perceiving (11%)" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/INTJ"INTJs apply (often ruthlessly) the criterion "Does it work?" to everything from their own research efforts to the prevailing social norms. This in turn produces an unusual independence of mind, freeing the INTJ from the constraints of authority, convention, or sentiment for its own sake ... INTJs are known as the "Systems Builders" of the types, perhaps in part because they possess the unusual trait of combining imagination and reliability. Whatever system an INTJ happens to be working on is for them the equivalent of a moral cause; both perfectionism and disregard for authority come into play. Personal relationships, particularly romantic ones, can be the INTJ's Achilles heel ... This happens in part because many INTJs do not readily grasp the social rituals ... Perhaps the most fundamental problem, however, is that INTJs really want people to make sense." —Marina Margaret Heiss

Hmmm. I'd never heard of this. Interesting. A lot of the questions I was like, "huh? I never what when I what?" but OK, I'll give it a go..
ISTJ Introvert(11%) Sensing(12%) Thinking(38%) Judging(11%)
You have slight preference of Introversion over Extraversion (11%) You have slight preference of Sensing over Intuition (12%) You have moderate preference of Thinking over Feeling (38%) You have slight preference of Judging over Perceiving (11%)
"ISTJs are faithful, logical, organized, sensible, and earnest traditionalists who enjoy keeping their lives and environments well-regulated. Typically reserved and serious individuals, they earn success through their thoroughness and extraordinary dependability. They are capable of shutting out distractions in order to take a practical, logical approach to their endeavors, and are able to make the tough decisions that other types avoid. Realistic and responsible, ISTJs are often seen as worker bees striving steadily toward their goals. They take special joy in maintaining institutions and are often highly religious. Despite their dependability and good intentions, however, ISTJs can experience difficulty in understanding and responding to the emotional needs of others. [10]
Although they often focus on their internal world, ISTJs prefer dealing with the present and the factual. They are detail-oriented and weigh various options when making decisions, although they generally stick to the conventional. ISTJs are well-prepared for eventualities and have a good understanding of most situations. They believe in practical objectives, and they value traditions and loyalty."
I think Patrick Swayze in Ghost said it best; what a crock of sheeeit.
Yeah, that doesn't sound like me at all. Maybe I didn't do it right or something, but deeply religious? Extraordinarily dependable? Nigger, please!

Most of your ratings are only slight preferences, which can flip given situational changes. That would make your MBTI type shaky at best. I had a laugh at the "highly religious" and "worker bee" parts too. You appear to be unclassifiable by using this particular test.

ESFJ Extravert(22%) Sensing(1%) Feeling(25%) Judging(44%) •You have slight preference of Extraversion over Introversion (22%) •You have marginal or no preference of Sensing over Intuition (1%) •You have moderate preference of Feeling over Thinking (25%) •You have moderate preference of Judging over Perceiving (44%) " ESFJs focus on the outside world and assess their experiences subjectively. They largely base their judgments on their belief system and on the effects of actions on people. ESFJs are literal and concrete, trusting the specific, factual information gathered through their physiological senses.
ESFJs project warmth through a genuine interest in the well-being of others. They are often skilled at bringing out the best in people, and they want to understand other points of view. They are serious about their responsibilities, seeing what needs to be done and then doing it. Generally proficient at detailed tasks, they enjoy doing little things that make life easier for others. They value tradition and the security it offers.
Easily hurt, ESFJs seek approval. They take pleasure in other people's happiness. They give generously but expect appreciation in return. Sensitive to the physical needs of others, they respond by offering practical care. As expert people readers, ESFJs often adapt their manner to meet the expectations of others. However, they may have difficulty recognizing the shortcomings of loved ones. ...
ESFJs seek structured, controlled environments, and tend to be good at creating a sense of order. They generally feel insecure in an atmosphere of uncertainty. They value the rule of law and expect the same of others. ESFJs may be less interested in understanding the concepts behind the rules, tending to shy away from the abstract and impersonal." Except for the bolded, this is me to a T. Sorry, kind of small. It says "existing naturally where the rest of us will only arrive aided by exotic pharmaceuticals." As for celebrities, other famous people, and fictional characters who are ESFJs... (Tom Clancy) (...Joachim von Ribbentrop. Nice?) And I'm definitely using this thread as an excuse to post hot pics of some of my favorite beautiful women who also happen to be ESFJs.

I like that last bit, Ben. Wish I'd thought of that. We don't do enough galleries of lovely ladies here any more. Also, I laughed when you went from Truman and Clancy to Spongebob. Good stuff. All right, looks like we're 2/3. Anyone else?

Tell me about it. The few hot-women threads we've had have left me drooling, and I demand more! But seriously, this personality test left me stunned with how accurate it was. It freaked me out a bit to see that my biggest celebrity crushes also share roughly the same personality traits as me. MEANT TO BE??!!?! Nah, they'll have me arrested for stalking within hours. Best stay chill and admire from afar.
