So I am a day earl;y this week but hey I am off work sick and I am bored so thought I would do something productive
Going back to decent dance music, it has come to my attention that I have missed an integral Dance 'band' out of past weeks.
The Chemical Brothers have been around for quite sometime now and think people seem to forget how truly inspired they are when it comes to producing not only electronic based dance music but also hip-hop and guitar based tracks also. They always seem to do something completely different then what is around at the time. Which to me is refreshing. This week I am going to give you a bit of everything which to me showcases exactly what this duo do best.
This track is Let Forever Be and is probably their best example of how to mix eclectic guitar with dance beats. It features Guitar and Vocals from Noel Gallagher.

Then onto some good ole electronica with Out Of Control Featuring vocals from New Order's Bernard Sumner and Primal Screams Bobby Gillespie.

Then we have the hip-hop-tastic Galvanise

I loved this, even now I cant help bopping my head to it. Video is good too, man I hate clowns and mimes and shit which is why this freaks me out more than a little bit.
Finally a newer track. So for the last 2 years or so the charts have been full of overused dub-step samples and rap songs with big chorus sang by mega divas (e.g jay Z/ Alicia Eminem/ Rihanna). While all this was going on The Chemical Brothers decided they were just going to do something completely different. I don't think it is as good as some of the earlier stuff I have posted but I have never been a massive fan of 'chill out' music and this is probably the best way to describe it. But I do quite like Another World and the video is pretty cool too.

Also just to show how utterly useless the masses are at recognizing a decent dance song when they hear it. This song was released as the second single of the album and never charted in the UK. I am sorry there is no guys running around with robot heads so that must mean it is 'boring'. There is a good bit of Wub-Wubbing though.
Amazingly the first two Tracks feature on Album 'Surrender' along with Mah-Hoooooooo-Sive single Hey Boy Hey Girl and the heavily bleepy Music:Response. Just shows how diverse they can be on one album good purchase If you are interested.
These guys are probably up there with "must see live" bands that I still have to see. Worst thing is I could have seen them 5 years ago a T IN The Park but elected to go with my friends to see the Futureheads or it could have been the Stereophonics either way I can't remember but what I do remember was catching the last part of the Chemical Brothers set on the way back to the campsite and seeing holographic butterfly's soaring over the crowd in and out of lasers and thinking "damn I wish I had been there". So Yeah need to see them!
