The word "amazing" gets thrown around a lot, especially in Britain. Oh, that hamburger was AMAZING, tht new Justin Bieber songgg iz amazzinn lol..
But the following program I just witnessed could quite easily be classed as genuinely amazing. Amazing in it's ingenuity, it's intelligence, it's attention to detail and the sheer amount of thought, planning and dedication to the experiment was, indeed, amazing.
First of all, for anyone not familiar with the man behind it, meet Derren Brown.
A hypnotist and illusionist, he's been a fixture on British TV screens for a good few years now. He grew tired of the mind tricks after a while and began taking part in documentaries exposing mediums and psychics and debunking the kind of stuff he's often (wrongly) associated with.
So when Derren Brown creates a new TV show, you sit up and take notice. When Derren Brown fakes a ZOMBIE FUCKING APOCALYPSE, you get right in front of the TV screen.
And that's exactly what happened to one man. A normal guy, he still lived with his parents, shifted from job to job, didn't appreciate his life etc etc. So Derren creates entire news bulletins beamed directly into this guys TV. Creates fake news stories onto the guys iPhone, all with the same message; a meteor is hitting Britain.
After a few weeks of this being put into his head, Derren hypnotises the guy and puts him to sleep. The guy wakes up in a hospital. Rotten food lies on the table across from him. The place is deserted. A warning message plays on loop on the TV. And then the zombies attack.

No mere hidden camera stunt, it's a psychological experiment that probes exactly HOW a normal person would react in this situation. It's gripping, thought provoking stuff. Seriously keep an eye out for this one.
