So Last week Trashy you said you were looking for some cool pop music for your playlist at work. So on the back of that I have selected an artist I am currently getting excited about.



Santigold. (Formally Santogold). She has been around a while and I have liked what I have heard but these 2 songs are magic. I love the newest one, Disparate Youth, the keyboard in the background is amazing.

Her most famous track is L.E.S artists and it is pop perfection.

I first got into her music when I heard an old converse commercial in which she collaborated with Julian Casablancas and NERD. I quite like the song and downloaded a few of her tracks. I feel she is a bit like a (dare I say it) more accessible version M.I.A however i feel she leans more toward indie pop rather than R&B.

Da fuk? Double post with bonus content? Anyways, as I said in the previous post, this girl is cool. I think I may have heard L.E.S Artists somewhere since it sounds familiar. So no, I am not disappoint, but I really don't like N.E.R.D. so I don't care for the last one much.

Yeah, you can blame Mrs C for that one, Trash. She posted the first thread under MY name because I didn't log out of the PC. Happens ALL the time with Facebook as well. I sometimes wonder if I'd had a brain aneurysm and began writing things I didn't remember when people started commenting on things I'd supposedly written.

Anyway, yeah, I've not heard much by Santigold (or Santogold, whatever she's calling herself this week). I agree it's a little TOO out there to be classed as an out and out pop song, but I love her vocals. I could listen to Julian Casablancas read the phone book so I'm a bit biased on that one.

There's a point - where the hell has Pharrell vanished to? Dude was everywhere a couple of years ago and he's nowhere to be seen now. Same place as Timbaland, I imagine.

Well, when you are patently lame as a producer and have only your celebrity to recommend you, that 15 minutes goes by pretty damn quick.
