Quite what turned clowns, those innocent icons of fun, laughter and custard pies in the face into an icon of pant-shitting fear is something that remains a mystery. When did this happen? You don't see kids in 60's movies terrified of clowns. Imagine Dumbo with a circus full of fucking petrified kids. Those racist crows wouldn't have been half as funny then. Anyway, here's a quick list of the scariest clowns from the history of cinema. There's a few glaring omissions, which I'll name later, but I'll share this for now. www.horror-movies.ca/scary-clowns-horror-movie-history/?TrendingContent

I've been wanting a shirt with this on it for years: Clowns in general don't really scare me, but man those things are fucking terrifying in horror films when used right. There was a bit of a running gag on Supernatural where a main character was afraid of clowns, and boy did they make good use of it.
