About a year or so ago, I posted a link to non-more British TV show Springwatch, a cosy, lighthearted look at the British countryside and its wildlife. Quite why that would be mentioned in the Fortress of Solitude would normally be a mystery, if it wasn't for cult TV figure and presenter Chris Packham, animal expert and music fan, who shoe-horned in countless references to the Manic Street Preachers throughout the show. And lo, Manicswatch was born. So how DO you keep those same people who tuned in to hear those obscure references happy in the next series? Simple, friends. It's called Bowiewatch. www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRtB1BJBCjwKnight this man, already.

That boy is good. What a great idea to pay tribute to personal legends and generate interest in the show beyond the usual nature stuff. It's done in a way that isn't "wink wink" obvious and would fly over a non-fan's head without them even realizing. Perfectly done.
