So the second "inauguration" of the president of the US happened earlier this week. Personally, I find it moronic that they'd inaugurate somebody who has already been president for over 4 years, but whatever, it's tradition. I'll start off by saying they might want to consider paying attention to who they invite to perform in the future to avoid things like this:

Win. Suddenly, I'm interested in this Lupe Fiasco guy. Sure, they may SAY that the giant men bum-rushed the stage to corner and intimidate the performer into leaving the stage because the crowd wasn't feeling it (although in that vid, they were screaming his name), but I think we all know that it was because Fiasco's bigass balls were hanging out of his pants and making everyone uncomfortable.
Okay, on to the main event. This is Obama's "hand-picked" inauguration playlist:
Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I'm Yours)- Stevie Wonder
I Was Here- Beyonce
Mi Gente- Marc Anthony
Carry On- Fun.
New Day- Alicia Keys
Mud On The Tires- Brad Paisley
Turn Up The Love- Far East Movement
Edge of Glory- Glee Cast Version
Your Smiling Face- James Taylor
Ordinary People- John Legend
Firework- Katy Perry
Breakaway- Kelly Clarkson
My Mic featuring Biz Markie- Nick Cannon
Something Special- Usher
Higher And Higher- Walt Whitman
Get Ready- Smokey Robinson & The Miracles
Future- Mindless Behavior
Wow, that is some cutting edge shit, following Katy Perry up with Kelly Clarkson. And the Glee Cast? Dear God. Still, could have been way worse. Your assignment is this: imagine you have just been elected (or re-elected if you like) president and you are going to release your own playlist to show the world how you roll in 20 songs or less. It can be all hits, obscure shit, or any combination you like.
Do eeet!
Suicidal Tendencies- You Can't Bring Me Down
Shoot to Thrill- AC/DC
The World is Yours- Nas
Starlight- Muse
I Will Still Be Laughing- Soul Asylum
My Philosophy- BDP
Never Had a Lot to Lose- Cheap Trick
White Man in Hammersmith Palais- The Clash
Holiday in Cambodia- Dead Kennedys
Oh Stranger- Raveonettes
Bring It On- James Brown
Plan 9, Channel 7- The Damned
I Don't Want to Know If You Are Lonely- Husker Du
Ghost of Tom Joad (live)- Bruce Springsteen w/ Tom Morello
Can U Feel It- Kool Moe Dee
Mr. Brightside- The Killers
Hazy Shade of Criminal- Public Enemy
Only- Anthrax
Redemption Song- Bob Marley
Forever Young- Johnny Cash
