Sigh. Yes, I know it's not Sunday. Turns out me starting this a week before I was due to go away for the weekend won't go down as my greatest ever plan. Better late than never, then. In today's internet controlled, blog, Twitter, Facebook obsessed world, how DOES a pop star get herself noticed? Do you date a famous comedian like Katy Perry? Do you make sexy videos like Britney? Do you do all kinds of crazy shit like Lady Gaga? Well, yeah. That helps. But when you're Amy Macdonald, who let's be clear here, shifts fucking units, well.. you don't. No Twitter wars. No meat dresses. No tabloid scandals. Yet she's released three albums, the first two hit number one and the third "only" hit number two. So whatever she's doing - she's doing it right. Anyway, the first time we saw Amy Macdonald was with her ode to the legendary Scottish venue, the Barrowland Ballroom. www.youtube.com/watch?v=K93FvHxzdlkTrashcanman's Original Response, September 18th, 2011 "A lovely and talented young lady." Well, shit, who am I to argue with that? Anyway, the first time we saw Amy was from the first record, this is a single from the second album. And THIS, friends, is an example of how she sells so well. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xi557TMssE8Oh, I DO love her.

My memory is so garbage I literally don't remember this stuff. That kind of bothers me. Anyways, my initial assessment stands: still lovely, still talented, still young, and still a lady. I've been buying more pop to see how much decent stuff I can find before I hit the wall. Maybe I oughtta give this one a try.

You know, that's an excellent point; how are you supposed to remember a song from almost 2 years ago? The original thread has been edited with the first song.

Done, and yes, if you're looking for good, no-nonsense pop songs written and played by the person singing (a crazy concept in pop music, I know) then you could do far worse than our Amy. And sigh.. isn't she lovely?
