You all came to this board to see people share music. But now it will be you who exposes their music to the board for all to judge. You will open your iTunes and display all songs. You will then select "controls", scroll down to "shuffle", and turn shuffle on. After commencing to play, you will skip through each song while listing the next 25 songs in this topic. No skipping. Failure to do this will result in abdication of all rights to make fun of anyone else's music EVER. I trust you will make the right choice. 1. Goo Goo Muck- The Cramps 2. Department of Youth- Alice Cooper 3. Dog Bite- Dead Kennedys 4. Aeon- Lacuna Coil 5. Sails of Charon- Testament 6. Steal My Sunshine- Len 7. Invincible- Muse 8. Shimmy- System of a Down 9. I wouldn't have figured you for a Muse fan though, Trashcanman. Guilty pleasure? Says the Seal aficionado. Nah, I really love that album, though. Muse is killer. I never really thought of them as a guilty pleasure, just a damn good band. I figured you'd be more concerned about Gaga or Len than anything with sweet guitar like Muse. Now those two are kinda guilty, although I added them to the mix more for diversity's sake than any kind of fanship. I mostly play my iPod at work so adding some extra hits to my usual mix helps offset all of the weird crap like noisy indie rock, J-pop, and power metal in my normal playlists and keeps my coworkers from rising up against me. I enjoy the songs, but I wouldn't (and didn't) pay more than a few bucks for a Gaga album.

Awww, Saw. Remember when that was good? Like.. the first movie only?
I freakin' LOVE that Summerboy song by Lady Gaga. Oh, I'm such a pop bitch. The Prince one is a surprise, though. Of all the Prince songs, you have that one..?
I love how Ben is super cool right until the end, and hits with a double whammy of Bon Jovi and Journey!
OK, here goes..
1. New York Telephone Conversation - Lou Reed 2. Ain't Got Shit - The Ting Tings 3. Roll Over (Let it Go) - Charlotte Hatherley 4. We Are the Sleepyheads - Belle and Sebastian 5. Oh Lately It's So Quiet - OK Go 6. Brendan Benson - Between Us 7. Get Hole - Japanese Voyeurs 8. Nicola Roberts - Say it Out Loud 9. Beach Boys - California Girls 10. Steven McDonald Group - Strange Arrangement 11. Pink Floyd - The Fletcher Memorial Home 12. Naked and Famous - Young Blood 13. Go! Team - T.O.R.N.A.D.O 14. Go! Team - Doing it Right 15. Miles Kane - Happenstance 16. Foster the People - Helena Beat 17. Cage the Elephant - Soil to the Sun 18. Pink Floyd - Money 19. Arcade Fire - Crown of Love 20. Smiths - I Know It's Over 21. Call Me Maybe - Carly Rae Jepsen 22. Sweet Sweet - Smashing Pumpkins 23. I Don't Wanna Die Alone - Jens Lekman 24. Tall Tall Grass - Tilly and the Wall 25. Dirt off Your Shoulder - Jay Z
DAMN YOU, Carly Rae! I nearly had a perfect run of credibility there!

I enjoy the songs, but I wouldn't (and didn't) pay more than a few bucks for a Gaga album. I was far more embarrassed about Kanye showing up than Seal. I figured I'd take some heat for that (and rightly so). I think I've got one Muse song on my Ipod to go with my 6500 other tracks. They've never impressed me much. Not familiar with Len (probably a good thing, the way you're talking about it), but I remember you saying before that you consider Gaga halfway decent, and I'm inclined to agree. There are worse radio-friendly artists you could land on. I love how Ben is super cool right until the end, and hits with a double whammy of Bon Jovi and Journey! It's no secret that Bon Jovi is a guilty pleasure of mine. Journey's less of a thing for me, though. I've only got their greatest hits. But it's still too bad Slayer and Anthrax didn't bump those two out of there... Anyone up for round two? Personally, I felt like I came away lucky. There's a few songs I've got that I would really hate to go public.

Journey was a damn fine band. Bon Jovi...well they had at least two great songs so that's something. I know you've heard that "Steal My Sunshine" sing, Ben. It was goddamn everywhere, and it's lame and catchy as fuck. But I can't say I don't kind of love it in its lameness. Kanye West has some decent stuff; no worries there. www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1fzJ_AYajAI've actually got a ton of Prince, C, but my iPod REALLY loves that song. And Saw was great until the last 10 minutes or so. The sequels are merely watchable. It seems like a few years ago, Muse was a pretty happenin' band to be into. Did they become lame at some point, or is it just that bizarre damn Japanese video they just put out?

"Steal My Sunshine" does sound familiar now that I YouTubed it, but I can't say it's ingrained in my brain or anything. Kind of lame, but what the hell. I've heard worse (like, uh, "Call Me Maybe").
Muse has always been lame for me apart from that super catchy single "Uprising," but even that song was more of a guilty pleasure than something I actually considered good music. I don't know many big fans of the band, and to be honest we don't really get that much of them here in the Midwest.

Muse was kind of underground in America until recently. Seems like the first real exposure they got here was in the Guitar Hero games, because after that they started building a fan base. I really don't even know their recent hits, but from what I've heard they seem to have popped up their sound a lot since "Black Holes and Revelations", which was a pretty badass political rock album at it's core.
