What were YOU doing in 2009? Mourning Michael Jackson? Voting for Obama? Or how about taking part in Week Six of a Your Verdict series, from December of that year? Well, let's jog your memory on that one, and the song in question from a sadly no longer with us anymore band.
That would be "Hit" by the Wannadies, a Swedish group who parted ways after 20 years together making outstanding power pop. Let's see what Trashy said back then..
Trashcanman's Original Response, Dec 3rd, 2009: That was happening.
Well, that was short and sweet. In fairness, we then discussed the video more but seeing as that's now been removed by the label it doesn't exactly seem relevant.
So, together or not, it doesn't matter. They released some fucking fantastic songs in their day, and this is another, "Yeah", a more 80's Gary Numan style rocker than the last. Still great. And is it possible for Swedish bands to have female members who aren't ridiculously attractive?

"The uploader has not made this video available in your country."
Fuck that guy. Found it on Dailymotion, and no joy there either. It says the "owners have restrictions". So are there bands or labels out there that don't want American exposure? Do they hate potential money, or what? There are a lot of other vids, why make that specific one unavailable? Shit.
