Thought I'd share this short, fun (if very flawed) look at the history of zombies in cinema. www.buzzfeed.com/h2/fbsp/giffgaff/the-evolution-of-zombiesProps for the nod to "White Zombie", but warm bodies is in no way the first movie where a zombie has romantic notions. "Wasting Away" covered it and I think Return of the Living Dead III pretty much perfected it. And I do mean perfect. Anyway, what other milestones would you put in here as a progression of zombie lore? I think Day of the Dead showed that zombies could learn and evolve, and weren't just mindless brain eating machines. What else are they missing?

Helloooooo! Zombie romance in PJ's Dead Alive. www.youtube.com/watch?v=2T8PWUgrVeA In Fulci's Zombie, they began their rivalry with sharks. In Land of the Dead, they joined the amnesty movement. In Shock Waves, they became tools of the Third Reich in what has been a long and successful relationship.
