It's a day late, but justice WILL be served here today. After the walk in the park that Bastille got, it's time for something.. well, a little more poppy and open for debate. And, well, something a little more pleasing on the eye as well. Namely, this girl. Enjoy the scroll down. Now, I've hated the Pussycat Dolls from their debut. Less a girl group, more a bunch of anonymous girls who would shake their asses while Nicole Scherzinger sung some fucking shit pop songs. With the inevitable solo act, I expected more of the same. And, granted, some of the songs have been more of the same forgettable R&B mush, but the following song, I believe, deserves a pardon. Take a listen. Her past work deserves to be sent to the guillotine, but what about this?

Still shite I afraid. She would get "it", her music would get shit. Not to mention she herself is an insufferable snob.

Not guilty! I thought I was the only one who liked this song. I do, I kinda think I like it. Not to mention she herself is an insufferable snob. So am I but I'm still loved.

You're a sufferable snob. *chuckles* Nah, but see Lemex... where you turn your nose you have good reason or atleast justification. This woman on many occasion as nice as she is turns her nose up at things that just don't sit with her. I watched her week after week giving her "expert" opinion on X Factor a while back. The mkre she did the more she thought she was all that. One week she told the contestant to shush and sang the song herself! Poor lass, she didn't know what to say. But alas thisnis about the song. Catchy, modern and totally generic. That for me is the big fat nail in the coffin there is nothing in this that stands out in current sea of musical arse slop. So this week it can burn.

It is generic, and not really worthy of close study musically, but I do rather like the lyrics. I'm not a fan of something like Beyonce's songs where she has this insufferable air of self-righteousness about guys she's splitting up with (though, damn does she know how to put someone down!) and, frankly it takes two to tango. I imagine Beyonce is the type of girl who demands the toilet seat always be down.
This song is for me is in the same vain as that Kelly Clarkson song 'Since You've been Gone', another not-great song saved by the lyrics. This song is still pissed off at the other party, but the singing does still sound a little down about it too I think. It's like a song you need to hear when a week after a break up, so it actually does a job in one respect.

There's not a single distinguishing characteristic about that song. Same generic synth, same "in da club" beat, same pseudo-angry break-up lyrics, same sexy plastic girl with effects-laden vocals, same eh-eh-eh-eh hook, same fucking everything. It's not terrible or anything, but let's not pretend there's a shred of creativity here either. Toss her on the burn pile.

Very close call, this one, but the naysayers lose out by just one vote and so little Miss Scherzinger lives to see another day. If I ever put up any of her "work" with the Pussycat Dolls though, she's fucking toast.
