Another day, another Godzilla thread, and with the possibility of finally having a good Western take on Godzilla, it's safe now to poke at the still smarting wound that is Godzilla 1998, or GINO (Godzilla in Name Only, of course).
And no-one has done that more than this guy, who counts up every single thing wrong with that utter travesty of a film.

Awful just awful. I remember the first time I watched this and didn't actually mind it.
Then I met and married The Curmudgeon and watched some actual Godzilla movies and realised what a load of horse-shit the GINO version was. I always did think it was just like JP at the end though.
I have to disagree with the guy on Independence Day though. Yeah it is a load of flag waving nonsensical bollocks but I do enjoy watching it and Will Smith is funny in it so guess it's a guilty Pleasure.

Sorry, bro. Couldn't get it done in less than 7 minutes so I get my pizza for free or something. The first theatrical trailer for that pile of shit lit me up so hard, man. I was soooooo fucking excited for an American Godzilla. That was obviously before the name Emmerich was part of my vocabulary. Then I watched the thing and....just......no.
Just remember that without that, we couldn't have had this:
The guy at end of the clip just referred to GINO as "a worthless tuna-eating lizard", for the win.
