So Ive been watching some Youtube videos now and their great, just to funny. I literally died laughing reading them and...
Ugh, sorry, that hurt even writing all that. We're pretty lucky here in the Fortress, in that we're pretty sheltered from poor grammar and irritating spelling mistakes that plague the rest of the internet.
I'm not immune, of course, and so Facebook, Youtube etc are often painful to go through as you try and communicate with people who are clearly several stages of evolution away from being fully functioning human beings.
Spare a thought, then, for someone in the public eye, someone who has millions of people writing to him everyday, who must have to trawl through all kinds of verbal slop every single day. Spare a thought for this man
"Best in the World" wrestler CM Punk, who is fairly notorious for ripping ignorant, abusive Twitter fans a new asshole online. He's now decided to take that practice a step further with a new web series where he reads idiot fans letters and tears their pathetic grammar apart.
Here's a couple of examples;
Through the course of the series he also tackles that old classic "Literally", which is possibly the most redundant and over-used word currently in use, "through and threw" and the whole "their/they're/there" headache.
Personally, I'd love Punk to explain to the world exactly what the fuck "irony" means, because it seems every little thing that seems to happen is now "ironic." And of course, "have" and "of." God, that bugs the piss out of me.
Any other little personal grammatical bugbear you'd like to see get Slammed?
