Even though I enjoyed it, it's fair to say that the reboot of Spider-Man didn't cut it for a majority of viewers. I can see why, but now that the annoying and really fucking unwarranted origin story (is there anyone on the planet who needed to see that again?) is out of the way, hopefully they can actually get down to making a Spidey movie that we can all enjoy. And, well, they really seem to be trying so far. Let's take a look; The trailer first, for those who haven't seen it; www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbp3Ra3Yp74Hopefully we don't get another Spider-Man 3, where too many villains mean not enough screen time. I imagine the Rhino will be a thug for fire that gets taken out early on, but the Green Goblin and Electro could be fun. Harry Osbourne is small potatoes compared to Norman. I don't see him in his death bed for too long. What's interesting to me is the background stuff; anyone notice the Vulture wings? Doc Ock's arms? The computer screen mentions Venom as well, and Six (Sinister?) chambers? This could surprise us all.

That trailer may have just sold me. I was literally ignoring this until now. Electro....whatever. Gobbie.....snore. Mecha-Rhino....pssh. With Emma Stone being the best thing by far in the first film, I wasn't really feeling the sequel, but now I'm actually a little bit excited.

A Venom movie could definitely work. He does think he's a hero, after all. The Sinister Six is an interesting idea. Have a mostly Spidey-free movie where you build them up and then let them battle it out in the crossover.

Thought I'd give this old thread a little life by showing the all new, full 3 and a half minute trailer. www.technobuffalo.com/2014/02/02/this-amazing-spider-man-2-trailer-is-incredible/Pretty sure I saw Octopus Arms at one point there.. I really hope they don't just try and shoe-horn in great villains with little story behind them. What a huge waste that would be. Not a fan of where they went with Electro AT ALL (obsessed super nerd? Fuck THAT) but I'm still gonna give it a shot.

has there ever been a moment that misrepresented the core being of a character more than that line? EVER?! God, I hate that actor in that role. I'd almost rather have Affleck or Cage. And no thanks on machine gun Mecha-Rhino.
A few years ago they went all Occupy Movement with Electro and had him masquerading with a power to the people kick. That might have worked on film. What they did with the Lizard around that time would have been amazing too. They made it like a horror film where Connor's reptile brain took complete control and he even ate his own son to exert his dominance. Why must these new films ignore everything good in the comics?
