For this weeks installment I have gone back to the mid 90s when i was all "indie cindy" or at least I thought I was. This is still one of my favorite songs from back then. It caused me to dress in black, smudge my mascara and wear over-sized cardigans and wrap the sleeves around myself as I trudged about. Its not great lyrically or anything but it is always fun to do on karaoke and watch everyone scratch their heads It also caused my one and only piece of criminal activity when I shoplifted the album from a stall in the local market (i was 14) This is I am I feel by "emo" duo Alisha's attic. www.dailymotion.com/video/x5npv1_alisha-s-attic-i-am-i-feel_music

Nice song, always enjoyed it, but the double standards of this song always bugged me. Imagine two guys were singing about smashing a girls face in. It would be banned before it was even released. Two girls sing it? Wheee, radio friendly pop hit!
Nice song, though. And the girls were luuuuvley.

For some reason I kept thinking of Alanis Morissette. Especially her song 'You Aughta Know'.
I just don't know how I feel about that song: when I listen to it I really really like it, but at the same time I really really hate it. I like listening to it, but I also find it really repulsive. Lyrically I find it's honest but rather shallow. So ... I don't know what to vote for it.
I guess since I have such a strong and mixed reaction to it then the song is good. It's at least doing what it set out to do, so in that sense it is a good song. I'll go with that, let my head dictate, because my heart just wants to crawl into a corner and cry.
Vote up from me!
And yes, those girls are fine.

See, I grew up around this 90's sound. Nostalgic as it is, it doesn't do anything for me either side of the fence. I don't love it, I don't hate it. Not a bad choice though Mrs C. In fact the opposite. I hate being on the fence about things, it means I have a crisis of indecision. I like it but not enough to say I like it, something sticks out with it that makes me sneer a bit, but again not to much. I think it's just one of those songs that have no lyrical genius to offer and the tune is repetitive so it sort of becomes background noise after one verse and chorus. So meh. "Better luck next time. Slug heads."
