When it comes to a competition for the greatest First World White People Problem, "Overlong Credits" needs to win the trophy. But yeah, for what it's worth, I actually agree. There's nothing more irritating than watching a great film, leaving during the credits like normal mortals and then being told the next day, "oh, dude, you missed the bit at the end!" End credits on video games I don't mind as much, because you've just beat the boss, you've completed the game, killed everything, done everything.. and basking in that glory is a feeling you'll never recreate no matter how many times you replay the game. It's opening credits in video games that "grind my gears." When you buy a game, sitting for 15 minutes while some storyline you don't care about or are invested in builds up. Casting Karloff but leaving his name as a question mark is a wonderful example of the innocence of early cinema that we'll never get back.
With regards to the one season wonders, Darkplace is an obvious one that I've watched, the rest I haven't seen. I hadn't heard great things about Camelot, in fact yours is the first example of praise I've actually read. I think it was probably bad timing more than anything, Game of Thrones was just TOO big and too great. Space Above and Beyond never appealed and I've never heard of Kindred. It's a shame these shows get killed as quickly as they do. When you look back at some of the all time great TV shows they were given time to develop and breath, but nowadays if they're not instant hits they're nixed after 12 episodes.
We've discussed here before our mutual shoulder shrug at the next gen consoles, and I too haven't been tempted into the PS4. I got Resident Evil 6 as part of my Christmas and the opening five minutes of that pretty much blew my fucking mind. There's plenty of life in the PS3 yet.

I don't know that anyone except me enjoyed Camelot. I've never met anyone irl who has even watched it. I would've loved another season at least.

Oh, having just completed Batman Arkham Origins I wholeheartedly agree with your first thread. Jesus, talk about overkill.
