Now that the remake trend has finally lost steam, it seems now that "prequels" are the way to go, at least with regards to television. Psycho, Hannibal and now this, From Dusk Till Dawn, a TV show that shows just what Clooney and Tarantino's characters got up before they decided the Titty Twister bar looked like a nice place to hang out in. www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKbNdUZVP04One major gripe with this before I've even seen it; Seth himself said he doesn't "believe in fucking vampires." So how exactly are they going to get around THAT, or is that line being nixed from continuity? What do we think of this one, then?

I'm going to watch it, but they may as well have just called it a reboot since they are recasting all of the characters anyways. A prequel is a stupid idea. It should have been like an episodic anthology series that centered around the vampires and told a different story each week or something. Sadly, I don't get that channel so I'll have o wait for the DVDs anyways. Just my fucking luck that one of my favorite directors gets his own cable channel and I can't watch it.

It's being talked about in the UK but I don't know where its being shown. I'll watch it and let you know. I've been enjoying Bates Motel, so maybe there's room for one more needless prequel.
