Tell you what, it's been a hard few years for Prince fans. Sporadic appearances, weird claims about chem-trails, lawsuits against fan websites devoted (and I mean devoted) to the guy, patchy album releases, one off terrible singles.. yeah, there's been better times for purple ones.
Recently though, all that seems to have been washed away with an onslaught of glowing press pieces about Prince. He's touched down in the UK and playing all kinds of secret shows in London that have been receiving no end of positivity from the mainstream media. They're loving the music, they're loving his look (he looks "fantastic!", one tabloid reported) and the fact he's charging £10 a ticket is just.. incredible. When blow up dolls like Beyonce can sing other people's songs using a fucking backing track as music and charge through the roof, for someone like Prince to come along, play a set of word by mouth gigs and charge the same price as a CD.. damn, man. Too fucking cool. Oh, and he's all about the internet again.
So yeah, it's cool to be a Prince fan again. Live music is great and everything, P, but how about a career rejuvinating comeback record... please?

So fucking cool. Dude loves your island for sure. But just a couple of weeks ago he was suing his own fans for millions over posting concert footage on their Facebook pages and shit so I wouldn't day he's all about the internet. Does he seriously think people are going to see a Facebook video and think "that looks awesome. Now I don't have to bother going to an actual concert"? If anything, I'd think posting concert footage would remind people of how murderously good Prince is and make them want to go to shows and buy albums.
