All righty then. Let's get back to what pop means at the moment: pretty ladies and shallow, feel good jams. This one is a one-hit wonder from 1999 from an artist who originally sang for the alternative rock band Eve's Plumb and currently resides as Nickeldeon's Vice President of Music. I didn't know that was a thing either. She's also kicked around as an actress, most notably playing Lucy Westrena in Dracula 2000. Still don't know who the fuck I'm talking about? Is normal. Maybe this will jog your memory:  If the hair din't clue you in, that is Vitamin C, aka Colleen Fitzpatrick. I don't believe I've ever encountered a mainstream hit video that had less hits than this one, but at the time it was about as good as pop got, poor MC skills aside. 1999 was the era of Ricky Martin, The Backstreet Boys, and LFO so I found this one to be a breath of fresh air with its signature guitar kick and rasta breaks. I'm almost certain this song didn't make it over on to our shores, but I'm certain I would have hated it then, too. Meaningless lyrics ("put a smile on your face?" Radical!), and that beyond dated production that makes it sound like a "hip" commercial for breakfast cereal just ... oh, God no. She's pretty fine, though, but that song is just terrible to my ears.

Now, that never made it to the shores of the UK. I Know I've never heard that before, but still, I kinda didn't mind that I must admit. Though the rap verse just seemed out of place. Still, it was mindless and not all that bright, but I can't say I hate it I must admit. There for I'll say to this a loud, proud, glorious: MEH!
