Another day, another Fifty Best/Worst list to go through and disagree with.

This one's a bit different though, because The Fifty Most Racist TV Shows Ever is batshit insane, either missing the point on a lot of shows (Curb Your Enthusiasm, the Simpson's), making shit up on some or completely missing genuinely racist program's out.

The UK sitcom scene in the 70's, for example, had some of the most offensive, genuinely racist TV shows ever made. Love Thy Neighbour, Mind Your Language..both dealt with the idea of foreigners as eccentric figures of fun, and In Sickness and in Health had Alf Garnett, a bigoted little Englander who hated "blacks and Paki's." These don't even get a mention.

Take a look. This is neither written by a black guy with a boulder sized chip on his shoulder or a white guy who's crippled with so much White Guilt his dad must've been a KKK grand wizard.

Ignorance and hate aren't the same thing. Are rape jokes racist? So Friends could have easily "thrown a black person into the mix"? You mean like recurring cast member and love of my life, Aisha Tyler? Imagine that. That Simpsons one has got to be a joke. None of the foreign cast members aren't comedically exaggerated? Wait, it's a cartoon satire, ALL of the characters are comedically exaggerated! They say American Idol and the image is a latina and black judge outnumbering the white one. Tarantino has plenty of Chinese cinema homages in Kill Bill too; kind of weird when the author didn't notice the difference and then ironically mocks people for supposedly not knowing the difference between Asian cultures in the next line. And South Park is racist because they named the black kid Token. Just wow. FOX News isn't a television show, it's a channel. And if they wanted to be fair to white people, how about some Family Matters? Every white person ever to appear on the show was blatantly evil. Or BET's Black Panther cartoon, in which every white person was s a combination of evil, incompetent, stupid. Even Captain America. ESPECIALLY Captain America. And that shit was from just a few years ago. None of that "News alert! Some shows from the 50's were racially insensitive" stuff.
