Yeah, I'm not above terrible puns. Only God can judge me. So I came across this list of the greatest characters in the history of HBO, and you could be mistaken for thinking it's just a list of the Greatest TV Shows of All Time. If Breaking Bad was in here you could pretty much wrap it up. Little wonder this shit costs extra. Take a look. Who's missing? Who shouldn't be there? www.totalfilm.com/features/50-greatest-hbo-characters/

Surprised at the number of shows on here I haven't seen. I've got work to do. I'm a big fan of Marnie from Girls. Such a hot fucking mess. She should have been on there and so should Sloan Sabbith from Newsroom. Sex in the City was mostly superficial crap, and the characters are too high up. I'd argue that Cersei Lannister is more deserving of a spot than Brienne. No Eric Northman or Jessica Hamby? Bitch, please. Adebisi from Oz? Man, HBO has a lot of classic shows.

I haven't touched a lot of these (I've yet to seen an episode of Game of Thrones), but from the ones I have seen I'd say this list is big-time overrated. Sex in the City was and remains one of the worst shows to ever last as long as it did, and I've always hated True Blood. I also couldn't believe they put Nixon from Band of Brothers on there. Only two guys from the show made the list, and he definitely wasn't the second most interesting character by any stretch of the imagination. Seems like he was only included because he was one of the few guys played by an actor with any sort of exposure prior to the series. He should have been replaced with "Wild Bill" Guarnere, who got his nickname for killing a shitload of Germans during the Normandy invasion. Speaking of "Wild Bill," I was glad to see Deadwood got a little love at least. But overall? I'm not impressed.
