Apologies for the tardiness this week, League, I've just had so much on that I've not been able to dish out hot pop justice on potentially guilty parties until now. This week's group have got a stranger backstory than most, in that the three lovely ladies you're about to see aren't even in the group anymore. The group still exists, but there is now an entirely new set of girls calling themselves "Sugababes" now. Check out this role call. They started as three girls, one left and was replaced. The other left and was also replaced. The last original girl then left and was also replaced. Then one of the replacements left and was also replaced. All the while they still released singles and albums and did pretty damn well to boot. In the UK we just don't seem to care who's providing the forgettable pop slop as long as they look good doing it. That's not to say this is slop at all. In fact, when "Overload" was first released it caused a bit of a stir in the "proper" music magazines. A COOL sounding girl band song? Are..are we allowed to like this? Sugababes soon fell to shit, and even though some of their later singles were OK, you could never really get past the whole conveyor belt mentality of the whole outfit. Judge them not on that, but do judge them on this. Sugababes - Overload official video HD: youtu.be/xxLU3Jm4-fQ(After a bit of searching it turns out this video gets removed from YouTube all the time, so hopefully it's up long enough for you to see it. Typical YouTube assholes, standing in the way of justice like that).

That's a big MEH. The song lacks any sort of energy and the ladies sound and look bored as fuck singing it. That said, it's not bad. Good for background music, but not anything thrilling.
