The difficult second album. Some bands flourish (Nirvana, Radiohead, Pixies) while others crash and burn, unable to recapture the spark of that classic first record, and that, sadly, is where this weeks band fit into, and this song even namechecks another band featured on this website. Spooky. Championed by NME, CSS (or Cansei De Ser Sexy) a Brazillian dance band quickly made waves with their debut album. All attitude, fizzy pop hooks and bubbling sexiness, it was a great album. Sadly, their second record "Donkey", which sounded less like a great follow up and more like a Gordon Ramsey insult, saw them drop off the map. Never mind, we still have this, and we still have this ode to having sex and listening to hard rock/dance outfit Death From Above at the same time. Could there be a better way to spend your time? Take a listen to "Let's Make Love and Listen to Death From Above" and please note THAT drop in the middle was about three years before every other fucker was doing it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7agPOt1XZz8

Another one I'm undecided on. The music is rather dull, I hardly hear one guitar -much less three- and the vocals are uninspired as hell, but it's not particularly offensive either.
