9/11, Sandy Hook, Illuminati..you wanna talk conspiracy theories, how about the fact I get locked out of my own damn website for three days, then I go to a music festival (T in the Park, more on that elsewhere) I get no signal or reception for three days? I mean, yeah, it was in the middle of a field in the middle of nowhere, but come ON. Look outside the box, guys. Anyway, back on track and do I have an under-rated classic for you this week (or do I? That's kinda the point of this). And usually I give you a little bit of background info on the artist, how the song was received originally..all that. Can't do it this week, folks. I know exactly two songs of this singer-songwriter chap, one was from a cover on a Dandy Warhols b-side and the other is this, a beautiful song that was used now and then in cult, genius, 90's hidden camera show Trigger Happy TV. The show was always highly praised for its soundtrack, which was literally songs from creator Dom Joly's own collection. Among the madness, the men dressed as giant slugs crossing a busy road, men in cartoon burglar outfits climbing out of bedroom Windows, there was often something sad or touching, and that was when this 70's gem from Gordon Lightfoot would play. I loved it instantly. Hopefully you will too. Gordon Lightfoot - If You Could Read My Mind: youtu.be/v5tr_L31StI

"Sundown" is a stone classic in every possible sense and I've heard a few of his folk tunes here and there over the years. Definitely interested in hearing more.

Huh, you seem to have heard of him way more than I have. Yeah I'd like to get into him more as well. Every time I go to buy a CD they're always pretty expensive, though. Worth keeping an eye out for.
