When you think of bands who are no stranger to monster hit, classic songs, it's pretty safe to say that Fleetwood Mac are one of them. Right now in fact, some radio station is playing "Go Your Own Way" and right now it's still awesome. Obviously, we're not going to be discussing those songs today. But we are going to be looking at a song from the bands guitarist, Lindsay Buckingham. Him. Now while the likes of "Don't Stop", "Little Lies" and "Dreams" are undisputed classics that everyone with an ear knows, this solo effort was only ever heard for two minutes at the start of a movie. And that just doesn't seem right to me. The movie itself? An 80's classic comedy, back when classic comedy was actually still a thing. Tell me you don't love National Lampoon's Vacation and I'll know you're lying. And here's the opening song from it, an example of someone who just GETS what makes a pop hook. PUBLIC HEALTH WARNING: You hear this once and it will burrow into your brain for a week. www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTsgqvmUPn4And yet you'll never hear it on the radio.

That's got to be the greatest hook ever heard on a film soundtrack for sure. Confirmed.
