With the commercial and critical success of Guardians of the Galaxy proving that comic book movies don't need big stars or even big characters to be a hit, they just need to be, y'know, GOOD, it's perhaps spurned DC into finally moving away from the Batman/Superman safety net they've been so reliant on in the past. There's a bunch of new DC movies being released over the next few years, three a year in fact. And, admittedly, most of them are Superman/Batman related. Still, take a look. comicsalliance.com/dc-entertainment-warner-bros-justice-league-wonder-woman-movie-schedule-comic-con-san-diego/There are more detailed lists out there with all kinds of speculation and throwing out guesses as to what's coming out, but this one seems the most plausible. We knew about Batman vs Superman (Spoiler Warning! It will be SHIT) but how do we feel about Wonder Woman finally getting a cinematic outing? Shazam? Sandman? DC could be onto something potentially great. Or potentially dreadful. Going to be interesting.

Shazam is lame. Sorry. Will not watch. And Sandman simply could not be done justice in any way, shape, or form that resembles the comic. MAYBE if it was television series (which would almost certainly need to be animated), but as a mainstream film? No way. Only Wonder Woman and Man of Steel 2 is really a good idea at this point. No more Batman until they recast.
