Hey, the sequel nobody was asking for. Yay! May as well check it out, I guess.





Did anybody else get a series Alien vibe from the second half of the trailer? I hope they really go for the horror approach instead of the action-adventure approach they ended up pursuing last time. This....doesn't look horrible. With countless species of dinosaurs and more being discovered all the time I don't see the need to make up new ones, but from a sci-fi perspective I guess gene splicing dinosaurs could be an interesting idea. They've got my attention, anyways.

I've never been a fan of Jurassic Park. I thought the original was patchy as hell. Amazing visuals, obviously, but it was ruined by a shoddy script and a terrible cast. The sequel sucked and I didn't even watch the third one.

Now, though..we're just making UP dinosaurs now? Actual dinosaurs aren't enough? Fuck this nonsense to the moon.

I really loved the original, but the book was much better. The sequel was mediocre as hell and the third was fun in a Michael Bay/Roland Emmerich kind of way. Well, not that bad, but the wall-to-wall action approach didn't exactly make for a cinematic masterpiece. I'll give this a go if I hear good things.
