So the fourth series of American Horror Story is almost at an end over here, so I thought we'd share our thoughts on it so far. No spoilers please.
Personally, I think it's an improvement over the third season. That one was OK, but the story and characters were all over the place and it felt really disjointed at times and nowhere near the standard set by the previous two seasons.
Freakshow, although it isn't as unsettling and eerie as the first two seasons (particularly the first season, which I thought was pretty damn frightening), it's still enjoyable. The cast, as always, are great. The characters are well rounded and the story is pretty straight-forward, bar a fucking nuts "ghost" episode that really didn't fit in with the rest of the series. Oh, and there's also this guy.
Not so much "Can't Sleep, Clown Will Eat Me" as "Can't Sleep, Clown ohholyfuckingshit CLOWN!!"
I'm keeping it deliberately vague here for anyone who hasn't seen it yet (you should) and for me, who hasn't seen the ending yet. What do we think of the show this year?
