I've never been that into Devin Townsend, either as a solo artist or with metal band Strapping Young Lad, but I've always respected his "take no shit" approach to, well, everything. Recently he decided to talk about his experience working on a song with the production team that handles artists like Nickelback (who would play on loop in my own personal Hell) and American Idol winners:

Now, I recognize that ultimate-guitar is a "news" site that usually only has a tiny bit more integrity than the tabloids in the checkout line, but this particular article is all Devin.
