Yeah, this is a weird one. I think it's one of those laws that are basically the same as "it's illegal to smoke in New York" or whatever it is. Technically true, but impossible to actually police and universally pointless. It's been made legal in the past, I expect that to happen again. Otherwise Apple are bigger crooks than the fucking Mafia.

I figure the notion here is to force Apple to do away with the CD ripping feature in hope that people will buy TWO copies of every album. Fuck physical fucking media is clearly dying so at this point it's just stupid. I mean, my laptop literally does not have a disc drive. They are making computers without disc drives now because who uses that shit? You can just download. I like physical media, but rest assured I will download a fill discography torrent before I pay for an overpriced download for music I already bought and paid for.
