Yeah, Tim C has always been a madman. I haven't researched these topics and I don't really care to. What he's saying about propaganda in the Middle East is true in theory as there have been videos by supposed "terrorists" released by Israel where one of them had a fucking visible star of David tattoo and shit like that, but I wouldn't go so far as to say ISIS doesn't exist. Even if they don't, what the fuck are you gonna do about it? Propaganda is just a fact of life. People believe what they see on TV and the internet more than their own eyes and brains and nothing anyone does or does can stop that. If the US government wants to drop bombs, bombs are getting dropped. It sucks, but so does this world. Anyways, we were dropping bombs for over a decade without any fucks given before ISIS was even a thing (or not a thing if you want to go that way). Why bother? And is it that hard to believe that various feuding factions would unite against an overwhelming invading force? The moon landing thing is pretty enduring, though. I've read some interesting arguments, but not being an astrophysicist I don't have the knowledge or desire to fact check the claims. Again, so fucking what? But I have to wonder: have they faked everything else NASA has done too? Are they doing fake shuttle launches and fake space stations and fake pictures of fake comets and fake Pluto and all of that shit too? Because I've got to say that landing a person on the Moon isn't all that much more far-fetched than the other amazing stuff we've gotten down to. And I have no idea what he was on about with the rod thing. Wasn't the rod to hold the flag out and make it more visible? It's not like it's going to be blowing in the wind, what with the no atmosphere and all. Dumb shit. And why harass an old man anyway? Aldrin must get at least one conspiracy maniac a week. At least the ISIS thing is relevant to modern politics, but who gives a shit about a moon landing anymore? Oh, and this took about a minute: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third-party_evidence_for_Apollo_Moon_landings

This guy can fuck off. Rage has always been spoiled for me to a degree because of their full-on retard politics- after all, Morello was the guy who performed for Occupy Wall Street, laying it on heavy against the man and the 1% and all without even a hint of the oh-so-obvious irony that he IS the fucking 1%- and this just confirms what I already knew, which is that Rage is to be taken no further than face value. I saw the article on Ultimate-Guitar and was pretty amazed at the idiocy. Clearly ISIS is real when even fucking Al-Qaeda is condemning them in videos and public statements for being too extreme, and the moon landing? Good God, this was almost 60 years ago. Give it up. Of course Buzz Aldrin got all whacky and stormed out! Like Trashcanman said, he probably deals with this shit on a weekly basis, especially since he's solidified his stance in the "aliens are real" camp. They're probably crawling out of the woodwork to talk to him. The last thing he needs is for another minor celebrity to harangue him about it. I don't even know where to go with this one, it's just... abso-fucking-lutely idiotic.

The ISIS is fake thing just seems to me like those "FALSE FLAG!" videos that imply that every school shooting, bomb or general atrocity is some massive "hoax" created by the government/Illuminati/media. In theory it makes sense, but who are these fuckers videoing themselves throwing gay people off buildings? Who signed up for that?
The moon landing conspiracy is something I enjoy reading, and it makes for a great theory (my preferred plot twist of choice is that Kubrick filmed it) but.. I dunno. Where do you even start with that shit? You've got 1000 websites giving you the same info and then 1000 other websites telling you not to be so fucking stupid. In the end, people will believe what they want. A newspaper on Facebook shared hundreds of new images released by Nasa taken on the moon, and three quarters of them were "and where are the stars? Why is there a shadow there? Why are we only seeing them now? That looks photoshopped." Just..where do we go with that shit? Aldrin walking away from Tim doesn't surprise me. When I reach that age I sure as shit wouldn't want to repeat myself for the billionth time to some stranger out to trip me up.

It's true. It's just too easy to manipulate media in the digital age. That's why I prefer to keep it practical and worry about what I can see with my own eyes and things that affect my own life. It's too easy to get caught up in this shit and it's such a waste of time and energy, even before you get into the endless debates with anonymous strangers. Straight edge philosophy doesn't just mean no drugs or alcohol; it means avoiding shit like this too and using your mental energy for something more productive. But it only takes a few seconds to wonder why if the moon landings were just American superiority propaganda, why is it mostly Americans calling shenanigans?
