As is "yes I did buy a compact disc again."
After discovering Spotify and getting a car and laptop that had no disc drive I wondered in a past thread if I was officially going pure digital. Well, then my laptop crapped out, my new PC has a disc drive, my Spotify subscription is on hold pending an upcoming trial of Apple Music, and I found myself once again in Hollywood's Amoeba Music with a pile of discs in hand, all of which were not available on Spotify. You still can't beat the experience of physical bargain shopping in a truly epic music store and it's an experience we all need to enjoy while it lasts. Had a hell of a time transferring my nearly 12,000 song strong digital music library, but it's growing again and I'm back to sweating where I'm going to put all of these discs...
Anyways, viva la physical media!

Good to hear it. Blur re-released all of their original albums as remastered two disc editions, and I got a few in last week. The original album on one disc, the b-sides and fan club only releases on the second disc. They're now in chunky boxes that have artwork postcards, an introspective article and an interviews with the band about the album itself and they're just a sheer joy to look through. You do not get that shit with digital.
What was the album you bought?

I got three discs worth of live Neil Young, a double-disc Manic Street Preachers import (Lipstick Traces), and an old Shonen Knife album.

Ooh, Lipstick Traces is a good buy. I had a lot of the tracks already from the singles themselves but for anyone who doesn't there's a lot of good stuff on there. The cover of "Rock and Roll Music" is.. damn. LOUD.
