So while I've been reconstituting my iTunes on my new PC I've run into a lot of technical difficulties and have decided to start rebuilding some playlists. While going through my artists on my iPhone I started looking over which ones had the most representation. I ended up making a list and the results were pretty surprising. This doesn't take into account albums that I haven't converted to digital yet or track redundancies in my current library so it's not exact, but at present time these are my top 20 artists according to the number of tracks they have in my iTunes. - 1) Anthrax - 174
- 2) Misfits - 137
- 3) (tie) The Who - 134
- 4) (tie) Mighty Mighty Bosstones - 134
- 5) Husker Du - 132
- 6)Dead Kennedys - 128
- 7) Bad Religion - 119
- 8) The Police - 115
- 9) Aerosmith - 113
- 10) Primus - 106
- 11) Bob Dylan - 103
- 12) (tie) Pretenders - 97
- 13) (tie) Van Halen - 97
- 14) (tie) The Clash - 97
- 15) Alice Cooper - 90
- 16) Cheap Trick - 88
- 17) (tie) Prince - 86
- 18) (tie) Slipknot - 86
- 19) (tie)Sepultera - 85
- 20) (tie) Guns 'n Roses - 85
I guess that's what happens when there's only one continuously active band whose releases you still buy religiously. Anthrax by a landslide. The Clash and Prince still have multiple discs I need to upload and, frighteningly, I have even more Who and Husker Du as well, but at present time that's what it looks like. Anybody else want to go?

Ooh, nice idea for a thread. OK, I can play this.
I mentioned it earlier before, but I recently rebuilt my entire iTunes library, hauling boxes upon boxes of discs downstairs to burn on the computer. Took ages, totally worth it.
Let's see what we've got then..
Prince - 400 David Bowie - 279 Beatles - 215 Rolling Stones - 213 Blur - 171 Belle & Sebastian - 139 Adam Green - 125 R.E.M - 99 Ash - 75 Arcade Fire - 65 Brendan Benson - 65
I go through various phases where some months I'll have more of one band than before (like, R.E.M for example, I've got loads more on there but I needed the space on my phone). David Bowie's 279 songs will probably be trimmed later and Ash will probably be increased once I start putting all their albums again.
