It's an old story, oft repeated. Record a show that sounds OK, keep it gathering virtual dust on your planner, eventually watch it, love it after the first five minutes. So is the case with the British sci-fi thriller "Humans." If I'd done a little bit of research I'd probably have watched it the day it aired. A science fiction TV show from the makers of Broadchurch (UK) and Utopia, two of the best TV shows in recent years? Sign me up. Think Westworld in everyday modern society, a world very much like this one but where robots are part of our everyday life. They look and sound just like us, but we have them doing everyday chores while we get on with our lives. That's obviously never going to be a problem. Take a look: youtu.be/BV8qFeZxZPEThinking about it, it's not TOO out there a concept. If someone had told you fifty years ago that your telephone could hold the information in the world, that there would be more technology in your phone than what sent a fucking rocket up into space, you'd think they were nuts. Is the lovely, lovely Anita (the robot) here that far removed from Apple's Siri? Philosophy aside, if you haven't seen this show, hunt it down.

It's been done to death, but it's always done really well and it's a personal favorite because it almost certainly WILL happen if something else doesn't wipe us out first. Beats zombies, anyways. I'll be seeing this soon for sure.

We're almost done watching it now and yeah, my first impressions weren't wrong. It's superb, one of those TV shows where you don't want the episode to end. Superbly written and acted. Definitely keep an eye out for it.
