First thing when I popped open my browser this morning, I saw the news. Not how I wanted to start my day. Lemmy, then Bowie, and now Prince inside half a year. Fuck this shit.

There has never been a pound-for-pound more talented musician than Prince. Better singers and songwriters, maybe. Better dancers, sure. Better guitarists, barely. Better performers, arguably. Better producers, probably. But absolutely nobody who could do all of those things at his level. Not even close. Not even a second place. The man was the very definition of a league of his own. Coming from anybody else, the following would have been empty braggadocio, but when Prince sang it, everybody knew it was a simple fact.
