So a new horror movie was announced last year called "The Woods", and it was getting a lot of hype and some positive early word of mouth. Well, surprise, because The Woods was a code name for something a little more memorable - The Blair Witch. I loved the original. Loved it. Found footage movies are a dime a dozen now, some better than others (some a lot better), but the sequel sucked and bombed, and so the Blair Witch franchise was put to bed. Until now. A direct sequel to the original, this..amazingly..looks pretty damn good, and one horror blogger has called it one of the scariest movies ever made. Take a look. youtu.be/girSv9UH_V8What do you think? Worth taking a trip to Blairsville again?

Looks like an exact remake of the first movie. Plus, there was already a horror movie called The Woods not so long ago. Why not just call it Blair Witch or something to avoid confusion? I'll still give it a go, though.

I think the point was it was called The Woods to surprise people that they were actually making a Blair Witch sequel (didn't Star Wars call one of its sequels "Blue Harvest" as a sort of code name or something? The same idea as that).
Any ways, yeah, I'm up for this. Not sure where else we can possibly go with the found footage genre, but I'm willing to give this one a go.
